There is no normal life that is free of pain. It’s the very wrestling with our problems that can be the impetus for our growth.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Why therapy?

Unfortunately life does not come with an instruction manual and sometimes we are faced with issues that are beyond what we know how to cope with at any given time.  Therapy can be a safe space to explore problems, navigate new situations, learn additional coping skills, and understand where you may be stuck on an issue.  Therapy is very much about recognizing what is positive in your life and maintaining that, but working on any negative patterns or situations that may be adding unneeded stress.

What kind of therapy do you provide?

I provide individual therapy sessions via telehealth for adults ages 18 and up.  Areas of concern I work with:

• Stress

• Anxiety

• Depression

• Substance use

• ADHD

• Trauma/PTSD

• Grief and loss

• End of life issues

• Self esteem

• Life transitions

What are your credentials?

I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC).  I am also an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD – CCSP).

What methods or interventions do you use?

I utilize a variety of approaches to therapy including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Person-Centered therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness.  I use skills and techniques from each of these areas while in sessions to best match what may be useful for my clients and their specific needs but I always go back to my approach that my clients are the authority on themselves so we need to figure out together what will work best.

How can I book a session?

In order to book a session, you can either submit an inquiry on the contact page, email, or call.  I will get back to you usually within 24-48 hours depending on my availability. An initial intake session will be required at the start of treatment and all new client forms must be completed prior to intake. Follow up sessions will then be scheduled with the therapist.
