I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC). I am also an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD – CCSP). I received my Bachelor of Arts in English from Seton Hall University and my Master of Arts in Counseling from Montclair State University. I have over 12 years of experience working in the mental health field, including individual outpatient therapy, telephonic outpatient therapy, crisis work, detox, and multiple intensive outpatient programs (IOP). I have experience working with such diagnoses as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD and trauma, and co-occurring disorders. I utilize a variety of approaches to therapy including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Person-Centered therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. I use skills and techniques from each of these areas while in sessions to best match what may be useful for my clients. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space for all clients and take into consideration the impact of ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds, language use, and gender issues when working with individuals. I believe that with the right therapeutic relationship anyone can benefit from therapy at any stage in their life.
